چکیده

We present preliminary results of the analysis of B → Dh decays, with h = π,K and the D reconstructed in the channelsKπ, Kπππ, Kππ and in the CP eigenstate KK, using data collected by the BABAR detector during the years 2000-2002 at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy B Factory at SLAC. We have measured the ratio of the branching fractions R ≡ B(B − → DK) B(B− → Dπ) = (8.31 ± 0.35 ± 0.20)% and the direct CP asymmetry ACP ≡ B(B− → D CPK)− B(B+ → D CPK+) B(B− → D CPK−) + B(B+ → D CPK+) = 0.17 ± 0.23 −0.07 . A Theoretical Reappraisal of Branching Ratios and CP Asymmetries in the Decays B → (Xd, Xs)l+l− and Determination of the CKM Parameters

We present a theoretical reappraisal of the branching ratios and CP asymmetries for the decays B → Xqll, with q = d, s, taking into account current theoretical uncertainties in the description of the inclusive decay amplitudes from the long-distance contributions, an improved treatment of the renormalization scale dependence, and other parametric dependencies. Concentrating on the partial branc...

Semi-Inclusive B → K(K∗)X Decays with Initial Bound State Effects

The effects of initial b quark bound state for the semi-inclusive decays B → K(K)X are studied using light cone expansion and heavy quark effective theory methods. We find that the initial bound state effects on the branching ratios and CP asymmetries are small. In the light cone expansion approach, the CP-averaged branching ratios are increased by about 2% with respect to the free b-quark deca...

Determination of the CKM angle γ and | V ub / V cb | from inclusive direct CP asymmetries and branching ratios in charmless B decays 1

We have calculated inclusive direct CP-asymmetries for charmless B–decays. After summing large logarithms to all orders the CP-asymmetries in ∆S = 0 and ∆S = 1 decays are found as aCP (∆S = 0) = ( 2.0 +1.2 −1.0 ) %, aCP (∆S = 1) = (−1.0± 0.5)%. These results are much larger than previous estimates based on a work without summation of large logarithms. We further show that the dominant contribut...

Branching ratios and CP asymmetries in the decay B-->VV.

We carry out a systematic study of branching ratios, angular correlations, and CP asymmetries in the decay of neutral and charged B mesons to final states consisting of two vector mesons. The renormaiization-group-improved effective Hamiltonian is evaluated in the vacuum insertion (factorization) approximation. Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka suppressed aud annihilation terms are neglected. Current matrix e...

CP asymmetries and branching ratios of B → Kπ in supersymmetric models

We analyze the supersymmetric contributions to the direct and mixing CP asymmetries and also to the branching ratios of the B → Kπ decays in a model independent way. We consider both gluino and chargino exchanges and emphasize that a large gluino contribution is essential for saturating the direct and mixing CP asymmetries. We also find that combined contributions from the penguin diagrams with...

Sum rules for B → πη ( ′ ) , Kη ( ′ ) , η ( ′ ) η ( ′ ) decays

We provide a set of sum rules, using flavour symmetries, relating CP-averaged ratios and CP asymmetries of different neutral and charged B mesons decaying into an η(′) particle together with a pion, a kaon or a second η(′). These sum rules allow us to give a prediction for the B0 → K0η branching ratio. We also predict a clear sign anticorrelation between the two B0 → π0(η, η′) CP asymmetries, a...
